On November 29, 2015, a four-member delegation headed by Prof. Huang Jiang, dean of the School of Foreign Language studies of Guangxi Medical University, visited our school. Prof. LuYi, dean of SFLS met with the guests, and some relevant staff of this college attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Prof. Luyi, on behalf of SFLS, welcomed the visiting professor Huang and his party, briefing SFLS’basic situation, inclusive of its mission, history development, faculty, English and Japanese program structure and curriculum, research work, and international cooperation programs, with emphasis on studies concerning the development of the two language-major programs, educational reform on the college English teaching and learning, and students-related work. Then Professor Huang, gave an overview of the history of SFLC, GMU, the progress and achievements made, and the challenges they were facing in the development of their English program. Such exchange of views and discussion about the current issues and countermeasures benefited both sides a lot.

Professor Lu Yi hoped to see more cooperation and exchanges between the two colleges for common development.
